February 2018 Meeting
February 11: "Know Your Own Happiness: Courtship in the Novels of Jane Austen" by Kimberle Lovitt
We all practically have Cpt. Wentworth's letter to Anne Elliot memorized: "You pierce my soul! I am half agony, half hope..." However, romance and courtship during the Regency Era wasn't always full of heart-wrenching letters and bouquets of handpicked wildflowers. Join the JASNA-Greater Louisville Region as our Co-Regional Coordinator, Kimberle Lovitt, talks to us about the ins-and-outs of courtship that Jane would have witnessed while gathering inspiration for her novels!
The meeting will start at 2 p.m. and will be held at Locust Grove in the Audubon Room. Afternoon Tea and treats will be served after the presentation.
