Where is the Winter Ball?

Where should I park?

There is some parking available next to the Louisville Pendennis Club (entrance to the club lot is off of Muhammad Ali Blvd just past 2nd St. on the left). There are a few accessible parking places in the club lot. It is first come first served. Street parking is also available as well as a couple of paid parking options within a block or so of the club. 

How much are the tickets?

There are three (3) ticket options with a limited supply of each ticket type:

  • All day inclusive ticket for $120- includes a 3 speaker presentations, the luncheon, the dinner, ball practice and the Winter Ball.
  • Dinner and Ball ticket only for $95-includes ball practice, presentation by Zack Pinsent, dinner and the Winter Ball
  • Luncheon only for $35-includes the presentations by Cristina Baretto and Martin Lancaster and the lunch.

What are the food/menu options?

Both of the meals provided are plated meals. Menu options were designed to meet most dietary preferences or needs. These are the choices available for the events. 

Lunch options:

Turkey sandwich and *butternut squash Soup

Grilled cheese sandwich and butternut squash soup (Vegetarian)

Grilled stuffed portabella with roasted vegetables (GF)

*the butternut squash soup is vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free

Dinner options:

Slow roasted Prime Rib with au jus accompanied by winter vegetables

Roasted Chicken and Salmon with white wine sauce accompanied by winter vegetables

Pasta Primavera (Vegetarian) 

Dessert options:

Apple Pie or Creme Brulee

Is there assigned seating at the lunch and dinner?

There is not assigned seating for the luncheon or dinner events and you may be sitting with others not with your party.

Will I be able to purchase drinks?

Two bars will be available in the evening, but they are CASH ONLY, so come prepared if you want to have a drink (besides coffee, tea and water). They will be located in the Grill Room on the first floor near the Billiards Room and on the third floor in the Game Room.

What time should I arrive?

Doors will open at 11:30 am for the Luncheon Event.

Doors will open again at 3:30 for the Dinner and Ball Event (Ball practice is from 4-5pm).

The check in table will be outside of the dining room on the second floor.

It is helpful for you to bring your registration confirmation either as a printed email or on your phone. We will use the QR code on your registration to check you in to the day and evening events.

Are there places close by where I can stay/get a hotel room?

I am not a dancer, are there other things to do in the evening besides the Winter Ball?

If you are not a dancer, or not familiar with English Country dance, then during the ball there are other activities to entertain you. The Billiards Room will be available on the first floor, and cards (Whist) will be available on the third floor. A photographer will be available to capture a picture of you or you and your friends at this special event. Madame Stellaria returns to provide some divination for those who are interested. Both the photographer and Mme Stellaria will be located on the second floor. 

Can I pay with cash or at the door?

We will not be taking any payments or making any refunds on site at the event. All attendees must be registered and pay online two weeks prior to the Winter Ball event. We are not accepting cash or check payments, however we do accept all major credit cards through our online registration.

Is there a dress code? Do I have to wear Regency style clothing to attend?

Regency attire is encouraged but not required to attend any of the events of the day. The evening Winter Ball is a formal event and appropriate dress is expected. For those who will be attending the full day of events there will be dressing rooms available for both ladies and gentlemen to change in preparation of the dinner and ball event that evening.

What is the refund policy?

Registration will be closed after Friday, November 22nd. Tickets are non-refundable after that date. Prior to the date, tickets may be cancelled and refunded for 50% of the total.

Is the Louisville Pendennis Club wheelchair accessible/friendly?

There is a ramped entrance for those who need that type of access. The accessible entrance is located on the back of the building (facing Guthrie St.), to the left of the main entrance off of the parking lot. There is an awning over the ramp. That entrance comes through the Grill Room located on the first floor. Once inside there is an elevator in the main lobby that will provide access to the other floors where events are being held.
