Welcome to the Greater Louisville Jane Austen Society
Who are we? We are fans of Jane Austen either through her books or many movie adaptations. We formed in July of 2007 and haven’t looked back! We now have approximately 100 members. We meet monthly at Historic Locust Grove and have wonderful programs (see Calendar of Events) and serve afternoon tea at the conclusion of each meeting.
The Jane Austen Festival which takes place in July has been a terrific event to draw attention to our favorite author and our Region. Each year the festival features an Austen author, a Regency style show, a Regency Emporium, Afternoon Tea, as well as classes and the Jane Austen Ball.
Give us a try! Anyone interested in Jane Austen, her books, the movies, Regency life are welcome and encouraged to join. Membership begins with www.jasna.org. To become a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America you must join the national organization as well as the local Region.
