Lan Colgate-Nguyen presents “Jane Austen and Mysteries”. Jane Austen’s novels are largely considered romances and as a result, many contemporary novels based on her writing also fall into that category. However, there is another genre of Jane Austen “fanfiction” equally as popular: mystery. In this presentation, we’ll explore elements of the genre in Jane Austen’s works and their influence on recent mystery novels.
