“The Tea Things of Jane Austen” presentation by Tea Historian Bruce Richardson

Please join us for a presentation by Tea Historian Bruce Richardson of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas.
Followed by an Elmwood Inn Fine tea pairing and social tea.
Learn about what Jane Austen means when she uses the term “tea things” in her novels. Bruce Richardson will discuss which teas were drunk and when tea was served in…British homes, such as those of Jane Austin and her characters.
Bruce Richardson serves as Tea Master for the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum, is a Contributing Editor at Tea Time magazine and is the founder of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas in Danville Kentucky. He has authored a dozen books on tea including “A Social History of Tea”. Mr. Richardson will have copies of his books for purchase.
The tea pairing will take place post presentation and then is followed by our popular social tea. As always feel free to bring a sweet or savory treat to share.
