We will be holding elections for our region's officers and will meet in the Locust Grove auditorium from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
It is VERY important that you attend, especially if you are a member in good standing (dues are up to date), because we need a quorum of 20% of members present for the election votes to be valid. A separate email was sent to members for those who may need to vote by email.

As many of us know, after Jane Austen's father died, she, her sister and mother sank lower and lower & had to depend on support from her brothers in order to survive. Being invited to live -rent free!- at Chawton Cottage must have been such a relief.
Many homeless centers provide temporary relief to those who do not have anywhere else to go. While our organization cannot provide shelter, we CAN collect and donate the #1 item requested - socks.
If you are able, please bring a pair of NEW, warm socks to our next meeting, January 8th. They will be donated to a local men's homeless shelter in Louisville.
We have a goal of 30 socks so that at least 30 men won't have to say, "My feet are cold."
